Willie Henry Owens

OWENS, Willie H. Age 73, of Elmira, NY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side. Willie was born in Early Branch, SC on April 23, 1948, son of the late Edgar and Lucille (Brown) Owens. Willie is survived by his loving, caring wife and best friend, Denise; daughters, Grace (Henry), Tammy and Amber; sons, Willie (Wrendy), Jerell, and stepson, Todd (Amanda); sisters, Shirley, Christine (Russell) Francine, Franker (Grover) and Elease; brothers, Edgar (Donel), Lester; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at the Monumental Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Corey Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family of Willie would like to thank Carefirst nurses and the Arnot Ogden Medical Center’s ICU and 4B staff for the wonderful care Willie received. Arrangements are with the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
